What are we?
The "Dead Letter Society" is a four piece Classic Rock Party Band
that plays rock and roll dance music from the fifties through the nineties.
We grew up listening to and playing this music and we still love it.
You will recognize every song we play, we guarantee it.
We are available for night clubs, private parties, corporate affairs, community
events, wherever and whenever you want to rock.
Who are we?
How did this happen?
Once upon a time four postmen decided to leave the dreary frozen northlands of
Pennsylvania and Delaware to relocate in sunny Southwest Florida.
They somehow ended up in the Lehigh Post Office, and after meeting they
discovered that all four were musicians in an earlier life.
So, because of their dedication to the US Postal Service they named their newly
formed band Dead Letter Society.
After a few years one of the four decided it was time to retire from both the post
office and the band and seek out new opportunities.
What were the remaining three to do? They needed to find someone quickly so
as to not have to cancel gigs.
Fortunately through the powers of the internet they came upon
"rock & roll realtor". Well, he's not a postman but I guess he'll do.
Shortly after that they were back on their feet and rocking the house, bringing fun
and merriment wherever they went, not to mention a possible ringing in the ears
and a hangover.
Tom Owens a fine upstanding Irish Catholic laddie from Philly, plays guitar and sings his heart out.
He is also the main spokesman for the band, which is occasionally a good thing.
Randy Hasty, yeah he's the one that isn't a postman but don't hold that against him. He seems to
sort of know what he's doing on guitar, keyboards and vocals. If only he would act his age.
Frank Lonabaugh is on bass and vocals. Frank is so cool, calm, and collected that he doesn't even
break a sweat when they set up and tear down. How does he do that?
Johnny Hemphill plays drums and by the looks of things has such a good time that he just might
be thinking he's at DisneyWorld.
